High School Sports Highlights from the Metro Area

St. Paul, MN – High school soccer across the metro area showcased some exciting matchups this past week. Notably, in the Adapted Soccer PI Division, St. Paul Humboldt came out with a solid victory against South Suburban, winning 3-1.

In boys soccer, there were some dominating performances. Hiawatha College easily defeated Liberty Classical with a score of 6-1. Meanwhile, Armstrong shut out Spring Lake Park, scoring 5-0, and other teams like Blaine and Elk River also secured wins with scores of 4-0 and 2-0 respectively. The game between Centennial and Totino-Grace ended in a tie, with both teams finishing with 2 goals.

The girls soccer games were equally thrilling. Eagan delivered a remarkable performance against Apple Valley, winning 7-0. Champlin Park had a staggering game, defeating Coon Rapids 10-1, while Stillwater squeezed past Roseville with a score of 4-0. In an interesting showdown, the match between PACT and Twin Cities Academy ended in a tie at 1-1.

In volleyball, the matches were full of suspense. Blake managed to come back from a setback, defeating Minnehaha Academy after losing the first two sets, winning the final set 15-13. Farmington also had a close victory against Burnsville winning 3-1 while Prior Lake and Eastview battled it out to a solid 3-0 win for Prior Lake.

The rankings are heating up as teams vie for the top spots in their respective divisions. In boys soccer, Minneapolis Washburn holds the number one position in Class 3A, while Holy Angels leads in Class 2A. In the girls soccer rankings, White Bear Lake claimed the top spot in Class 3A, and Holy Angels led in Class 2A.

As the seasons progress, these teams continue to display their talents, aiming for the playoffs and possible state titles.
