In girls’ golf, senior Sienna Wheeler from Colonie made headlines by shooting a solid round of 78 in the Section II championships at Hiland Park in Queensbury. As she heads into the final round, Wheeler is tied for third place, looking to improve her standing on Friday.
Meanwhile, in football, senior Dominic DiBacco from Shaker had an impressive game, scoring three touchdowns on runs of 35, 2, and 50 yards despite his team’s 27-19 loss to Christian Brothers Academy. Other standout performances included Jacob Phelps from Averill Park, who rushed for 166 yards and one touchdown while also catching two touchdowns worth 104 yards, helping his team to a 47-12 victory over La Salle.
