High School Football Update in Walpole: Excitement Builds Amidst Weather Challenges

Walpole, MA – The excitement is building as local high school soccer teams gear up to compete in the Division 2 and Division 4 state semifinals. Today, fans and students are encouraged to show their support for the teams as they take to the field for a shot at the championship.

In Division 2, the Masconomet girls soccer team will face off against Mansfield at 5 PM at Walpole High School. This match is expected to be a thrilling encounter, with both teams vying for a place in the finals. Masconomet has shown strong performance throughout the season, and they are looking to continue their winning streak.

Meanwhile, at Manning Field in Lynn, the Hamilton-Wenham girls will battle against Lynnfield also at 5:30 PM in the Division 4 semifinals. Fans are excited to see how Hamilton-Wenham will perform, especially after a solid series of wins in the earlier rounds of the tournament.

As for tomorrow, the boys’ soccer teams will step into the limelight with the Division 1 state semifinals. The matchup will see St. John’s Prep go head-to-head against St. John’s Shrewsbury at Woburn at 5 PM. The anticipation is high for this game, where both teams aim to secure their berths in the finals.

In addition to the high school matches, college athletics are also active today. The Salem State men’s hockey team is scheduled to face Franklin Pierce at 7 PM. Additionally, there are several women’s basketball games on the schedule, including Salem State at Clark and Endicott at Tufts, both at 6 PM and 7 PM respectively.
