High School Sports Roundup from Connecticut

Connecticut’s high school sports scene saw some exciting action last Friday, with various teams competing in crucial matchups across different sports. Highlights from the games are as follows:

The girls’ soccer team from Lewis Mills achieved a resounding victory over Middletown, winning 5-1. Leah Mischke, Riley Mills, Gemma Goshdigian, and Lily Castle (who scored twice) were notable goal scorers for Mills. Middletown managed a goal from Yori Perry-Rice, but it wasn’t enough to turn the tide. On the defensive side, Mills goalkeeper Anna Henry recorded 7 saves, contributing significantly to the win.

In another girls’ soccer contest, Wolcott Tech triumphed over Wilcox Tech with a score of 5-3. Senior Kendall Contadini stood out by netting four goals, including one from the penalty spot, and providing an assist.
