Houston High School Football Playoff Roundup
This past Saturday, several Houston area high school football teams battled it out in the latest round of the statewide playoff games, showcasing some exciting moments on the field.
In the Region I Regional matchups, North Crowley pulled off a solid win against Coppell, finishing the game at 35-24. Meanwhile, Denton Guyer dominated Crowley, winning by a considerable margin with a score of 44-7.
The Region II Regional games also brought intense competition. Cypress Bridgeland narrowly defeated Waxahachie with a final score of 24-19, while De Soto showcased their offensive strength, overpowering Willis 55-35. Duncanville proved to be another tough competitor as they overcame The Woodlands with a score of 42-20.
In more regional matchups, Denton Ryan triumphed over N. Richland Hills Richland, finishing the game 48-35. Longview also enjoyed success, edging out Klein Collins with a close score of 42-34.
The excitement didn’t stop there, as in the Region IV Regional, CC Flour Bluff achieved a tight victory over SA Southwest 35-28, while Randle defeated Brenham 28-14.
In the quarterfinals of the playoffs, Whiteface displayed an incredible performance, scoring 82 against Borden County, which managed 36.
Championship games were also hotly contested, with Bulverde Gloria Deo winning against Brazos Valley, 51-36, and Harvest Christian Academy-Lantana overpowering Lubbock Home School with a score of 70-49.
