The Capital of Lake Murray

Greetings, and welcome to Chapin! We are a community on the move, with great amenities, award winning schools, a thriving business community, and beautiful Lake Murray, providing residents and visitors a wide array of experiences and opportunities.

Known as the Capital of Lake Murray, we have many people who have chosen to enjoy all that lake living offers on a year-round basis. From water sports and fishing to casual boat rides and beautiful sunsets, the lake really is the Jewel of South Carolinaâ„¢.

Chapin is so proud of its nationally-ranked public schools. Chapin High School recently completed extensive renovations and additions to its academic and extracurricular facilities, and the nearby Spring Hill High School and Center for Advanced Technical Studies offer a variety of exciting magnet and career readiness programs that will prepare our young people for productive lives in our fast growing region. And the new Chapin Middle School provides another state-of-the-art learning facility for our community.
