Gamecocks Lower Three School Records on Fourth Day of SEC Championships

South Carolina swimming & diving concluded the fourth day of the SEC Championships on Thursday with 12 finalists and three new school records.

Women’s 400 IM

In the women’s 400 IM, Meaghan Harnish, Laura Goettler, and Delaney Franklin all earned second swims in the finals. Franklin competed in the C-final, swimming a 4:20.08 to place 23rd overall. Goettler posted a time of 4:15.70 in the finals, coming in 13th overall, while Harnish placed 10th with a time of 4:13.57.

Men’s 400 IM

Raymond Prosinski represented the men’s team in the 400 IM finals, swimming in the B-final. The freshman set a new personal best time of 3:45.37, placing 14th overall and moving up to fourth in the program’s all-time top-10.

Women’s 100 Fly

Four Gamecock women reached the finals of the 100 fly. In the C-final, Jordan Agliano and Bella Pantano achieved new personal best times. In the A-finals, Great Pelzek set a new school record of 51.77, finishing fifth, while Nicholle Toh placed seventh. Linus Kahl represented the men in the event, setting a new school record in the prelims and finishing 11th overall in the B-finals.

Women’s 200 Free

After the fourth night of finals, the Gamecock men are in ninth place with 212 points, and the women are in eighth place with 309 points. The SEC Championships will continue on Friday with the men’s platform diving, 200 fly, 100 back, 100 breast, and 400 medley relay.
