Art Adventures Await

Want to unleash your creativity? Alexandra’s Art Studio on Sparkleberry Crossing Road is hosting various classes for both adults and kids! If you’re interested, be sure to check out their offerings for kids classes and summer art camps. It’s a great way to explore your artistic side and make some new friends along the way!

Mark your calendars for the Historic Melrose Art in the Yard on Sunday, December 8, from 1 to 5 p.m. This free event takes place entirely outdoors and spans several city blocks, showcasing local talent in a festive atmosphere. Music lovers won’t want to miss the Jam Room Music Festival on Saturday, October 26, starting at noon on the 1400 Block of Main at Hampton Street. For classical music fans, there’s a special concert titled A Taste of American Music featuring Ronald H. High and Andrew Johnson on Sunday, October 27, at 5 p.m. at Sherwood Forest ARP Church. It promises to be a delightful evening!

Spook-tacular Fun for Halloween

As Halloween approaches, local schools are getting into the spirit! Brookland-Cayce High School will host a Trunk or Treat event on Tuesday, October 22, from 5 to 7 p.m. Meanwhile, Airport High School invites all trick-or-treaters to their Trick or Treat Lane on Monday, October 28 from 6 to 8 p.m. Dress up in your favorite costume and prepare for some festive fun!

Plant Lovers Unite

Don’t miss the Midlands Fall Native Plant Market on Sunday, October 27, from 1 to 5 p.m. at Hunter-Gatherer Brewery at the Hangar. This is a perfect opportunity for garden enthusiasts to pick up some native plants to beautify their yards! And if you’re looking for some gorgeous irises, head over to the South Carolina Iris Society’s Annual Plant Sale on October 19 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Exciting Fundraisers and Community Events

Feeling philanthropic? Check out the Wine on the River fundraiser, hosted by the Lexington Medical Center Foundation on Friday, November 8, from 6 to 10 p.m. at the West Columbia Riverwalk. Enjoy an evening of delightful wines all while supporting a great cause!
