Starting at 4 p.m. on Friday, September 20, and running through Sunday, the celebration will take place on Canalside Street. Historic Columbia’s Jubilee Festival
While you’re out and about, why not swing by the Jubilee Festival of Black History and Culture, happening this Saturday? From 11 a.m. to 6 p.m., you’ll find yourself immersed in rich history at the Mann-Simons site on Richland Street. This event promises lots of excitement with live music, amazing art displays, and mouth-watering food options.
Don’t forget to bring the kids along! There’s a kids zone that includes fun activities like free face painting, robotic demonstrations, and so much more to keep your little ones entertained. Best of all, just like the Oktoberfest, this event is completely free to attend.

This event will take place at Granby Gardens Park, and it’s a wonderful opportunity to foster community ties while having a blast with friends and family.
Foodees Food and Culture Festival on the Horizon
Looking ahead, don’t miss out on the upcoming Foodees Food and Culture Festival taking place next month in Sumter! Scheduled for October 4 through 6 at the American Legion Fairgrounds, this festival is set to feature tantalizing culinary delights, unique crafts, and family-friendly entertainment.
