COLUMBIA Baseball Splits Doubleheader with No. 2 Arkansas
The University of South Carolina baseball team had an intense day on Saturday, splitting a doubleheader with the No. 2 ranked Arkansas team. In a thrilling first game, the Gamecocks emerged victorious with a 6-3 win, only to be edged out by Arkansas in the nightcap with a score of 9-6.

In the opening game, South Carolina took an early lead with a pair of runs in the second inning, courtesy of a two-run single from Talmadge LeCroy. Despite a strong response from Arkansas with a run in the fourth inning, the Gamecocks extended their lead with a four-run surge in the sixth inning.
