High School Sports Roundup in Minnesota
This week, high school sports teams across Minnesota delivered some exciting games in various sports, with notable results in basketball, gymnastics, hockey, and wrestling.
Basketball Highlights
In the boys’ basketball games, Chaska edged out Shakopee with a close score of 67 to 62. Hopkins showcased their strength against Totino-Grace, winning decisively with a score of 91 to 78. Mpls. Edison also had a strong performance, defeating Metro Prep 56 to 26, while Prairie Seeds cruised past AFSA with a hefty score of 67 to 15.
On the girls’ side, Benilde-St. Margaret’s won a thrilling game against Byron, finishing with a narrow 58 to 56 victory. Chaska also triumphed over Shakopee with a score of 65 to 49. In the Northwest Suburban division, Centennial scored 121.025, outperforming Champlin Park, who had a score of 110.975. In boys’ hockey, Park of Cottage Grove secured a major win against Hastings with a final score of 9 to 1. The girls’ teams were also in action, where Blaine narrowly defeated Osseo/Park Center 2 to 1, and Benilde-St. Margaret’s dominated Farmington with a convincing 7 to 0 victory.
Wrestling Results
In wrestling, the boys from Washington defeated Como Park with a score of 42 to 33 in a competitive match.
