Chapin H.S. student selected to perform at Carnegie Hall

Chapin, SC — One Chapin High School student has been chosen to participate in the Honors Performance Series at Carnegie Hall in New York City. Ana Aun, a talented musician, auditioned for this prestigious opportunity back in August of 2023 and has now been selected to perform at the iconic concert hall.

Departing on February 7, Ana and other selected students will spend several days in New York, rehearsing and preparing for the final concert under the guidance of master conductors. This experience will not only allow them to showcase their musical talents but also to connect with fellow musicians from around the world.

Expressing her excitement, Ana stated, “This opportunity means the world to me. Performing at Carnegie Hall has been a lifelong dream, and I am grateful for the chance to make it a reality.”

Chapin High School Choral Director, Nicholas Shumate, praised Ana’s achievement, highlighting her dedication and hard work. He emphasized that this honor is a testament to Ana’s talent and perseverance, looking forward to her future endeavors as she plans to pursue music studies at USC.
