Chapin High School Wins 5A Lacrosse State Championship
CHAPIN, S.C. – The Chapin High School Girls Lacrosse team has emerged victoriously as the class 5A state champions. In an outstanding display of skill and teamwork, the Eagles triumphed over Fort Mill with a final score of 13-4 in the championship game held at W.C. Hawkins Stadium on Saturday, April 27.
According to school officials, this marks the second state championship title for the Lady Eagles, with their previous victory over Fort Mill in 2019 leading to an undefeated season.

“I am over the moon ecstatic for this team,” expressed Head Coach Raven Thomas. Describing the journey, Coach Thomas mentioned how the team has been building something special since the seniors were freshmen and knew that this year was their moment.
“We stepped onto the field this year with the confidence that this was our year to win it all and we put in all the work needed to ensure it happened. I am so proud of this team and love them beyond words. It’s been an amazing ride,” Coach Thomas added.
