Chapin High School wins 5A Lacrosse State Championship

CHAPIN, S.C. – The Chapin High School Girls Lacrosse team emerged victorious in the class 5A state championship, defeating Fort Mill 13-4 at W.C. Hawkins Stadium on Saturday, April 27.

This marks the second championship for the Lady Eagles, who previously clinched the title in 2019 by also defeating Fort Mill, capping off an undefeated season. Head Coach Raven Thomas expressed immense joy for the team’s achievement, stating, “I am over the moon ecstatic for this team.”

Coach Thomas highlighted the special bond within the team, emphasizing the years of hard work and dedication that led to this triumph. “We stepped onto the field this year with the confidence that this was our year to win it all and we put in all the work needed to ensure it happened. I am so proud of this team and love them beyond words. It’s been an amazing ride,” Coach Thomas remarked.
