Chapin Contractor Ken Loveless Enters School Board Race
Chapin, SC – Longtime community supporter and local contractor Ken Loveless has officially thrown his hat into the ring for the upcoming Lexington-Richland Five School Board race, scheduled for November 5th. Loveless has filed to run for one of the Lexington County seats and expresses a great deal of confidence heading into the election.
“I have been getting out and laying the groundwork for this campaign and the citizens are excited!” Loveless shared, highlighting the enthusiasm he has seen within the community. He believes that voters today are looking for school board members who will prioritize transparency and are problem-solvers.
Loveless is no stranger to the educational landscape, having dedicated much of his time to supporting various District Five initiatives. His contributions to the District Five Foundation and SkillsUSA showcase his commitment to local students. He has also been a prominent advocate for workforce development, focusing on preparing students for both college and career readiness.
“It is important that we prepare our students for college, but one size does not fit all,” Loveless noted. “We also need to equip students for the workforce with great teachers.” He added that his role has often involved helping students transition into jobs, a service that many parents and students have found valuable.
During the candidate filing, Loveless was supported by his wife, Jondy, a former School Board Trustee. Together, they stand behind his mission to enhance educational opportunities within the community.
