Chapin Contractor Ken Loveless Running for Lexington-Richland Five School Board

Chapin Contractor Ken Loveless Enters Lexington-Richland Five School Board Race

Chapin, SC – Longtime community supporter, Ken Loveless, has officially declared his candidacy for the Lexington-Richland Five School Board. With elections set for November 5th, Loveless aims to secure one of the Lexington County seats available on the board.

Loveless has been actively involved in various educational initiatives and believes he has laid a solid foundation for his campaign. He expressed optimism about his chances in the upcoming election. “I have been getting out and laying the groundwork for this campaign and the citizens are excited!” he stated. Loveless added that, “people are looking for school board members who champion transparency and are problem-solvers.”

This Chapin-based contractor is not new to the local education scene. He has been a major supporter of District Five through his involvement with groups like the District Five Foundation and the SkillsUSA program. Loveless has focused on workforce development opportunities for high school students in both Irmo and Chapin.

During his campaign, Loveless emphasized the importance of preparing students not just for college, but also for the workforce. “It is important that we prepare our students for college and have the teachers ready to prepare them,” he said. “But one size does not fit all, and we need to prepare students for the workforce in that same manner with great teachers. I have led on that front, including working on getting these students set up with jobs. Many parents and students have appreciated that.”

Loveless filed his candidacy alongside his wife, Jondy, who is a former School Board Trustee. As the election date approaches, he encourages community members to visit his campaign website for more information. Those interested can find details at LovelessforD5.com.

As the race heats up, candidates like Loveless are stepping forward to address the needs and concerns of students, parents, and educators in the district.
