Chapin Contractor Ken Loveless Enters Lexington-Richland Five School Board Race

Chapin, SC – On August 5, 2024, Ken Loveless, a well-known contractor and long-time supporter of District Five, officially filed to run for a seat on the Lexington-Richland Five School Board in the upcoming election scheduled for November 5.

Excitement for Change

Loveless expressed a strong sense of confidence as he begins his campaign. “I have been getting out and laying the groundwork for this campaign and the citizens are excited!” he stated. Loveless highlighted the desire among residents for school board members who prioritize transparency and are effective problem-solvers.

Commitment to Education

Loveless is recognized for his philanthropic efforts and his dedication to enhancing education in the area. He has contributed significantly to various causes within the district, including the District Five Foundation and SkillsUSA. His leadership has focused on workforce development initiatives that help students prepare for their future careers.

“It is important that we prepare our students for college and have the teachers ready to prepare them,” Loveless noted. He also emphasized that education should cater to diverse needs, stating, “But one size does not fit all, and we need to prepare students for the workforce in that same manner with great teachers.” Loveless has taken significant steps towards this goal, including securing job opportunities for local students.

Community Support

Loveless was joined by his wife, Jondy, a former School Board Trustee, during the filing process. Together, they hope to foster positive changes in the school district, benefiting both parents and students.
