Cathy was born on July 24, 1952, in Portsmouth, to the late Emery Mullins and Alma Beulah Cox Wright. She attended Rubyville Community Church, where she actively participated in community events. In her professional life, she worked at Star Workshop, contributing to the local economy and forging connections with numerous individuals.

Hobbies and Interests

At Buckeye Forest, Noles enjoyed a variety of activities, particularly bingo and arts and crafts, which allowed her to express her creativity and engage with fellow residents. Music was a significant passion for her, with Elvis Presley being a notable favorite.

Family Life

On October 15, 1988, Cathy married Gary Mitchell Noles in Portsmouth. The couple shared 18 years together until Gary’s passing on March 9, 2007. Cathy is survived by her three siblings: Thomas Wright of Chapin, South Carolina; James Mullins of Lucasville; and Donna Mullins Daniel of Lucasville. Additionally, she is survived by her sister-in-law Sherry Wright of Portsmouth, brother-in-law Ron Grigsby of Inman, South Carolina, and many nieces, nephews, and their families.

Preceding her in Death

Catherine Noles was preceded in death by her stepfather Dewey Wright Jr. and three siblings: Beecher E. Wright, Lisa Tackett, and Betty Wright Grigsby. The loss of her loved ones played a significant role in her life, shaping her resilience and strong sense of family.

Funeral Arrangements

Funeral services for Catherine Noles will be held at noon on May 28, 2025, at the Ralph F. Scott Funeral Home in Portsmouth. The services will be officiated by Pastor Dr. Calvin Ray Evans and Pastor Brian Baer. Following the funeral, interment will take place at Siloam Cemetery in South Shore, Kentucky.

Memorial Contributions

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association, reflecting her desire to contribute towards further heart health awareness and research.
