Out goes the private club, and in comes the future of educational administration as the Charter Institute at Erskine expands its operations right at the top of the tallest building in town. This renovation, costing a whopping $280,000, is set to transform the space into a bustling hub for educational excellence.
According to city permits, the revitalized floor will feature 23 new offices, two spacious conference rooms, two cozy break rooms, and a stylish board room. Sounds fancy, right? The institute, currently located on the third floor of the building since May 2018, has certainly outgrown its old digs. Ashley Epperson from the institute commented on the move, stating that they needed more space to meet the booming demands of their rapidly growing student population.

Unfortunately, it closed down in February 2024, with club operators declaring it “no longer sustainable in this post-COVID environment.” While that’s a bummer for the long-time members of the club, all is not lost as new opportunities arise.
The good news? The existing offices on the third floor will now be subleased, meaning there’s a chance for more businesses to find a home in the Capitol Center. Talk about a win-win situation!
