Birmingham Celebrates SEC First-Year Academic Honor Roll Recipients

A total of 1,459 student-athletes were honored on the 2023-24 First-Year SEC Academic Honor Roll, with South Carolina shining bright with 130 of its own making the list. The city of Birmingham, ALA., was abuzz with excitement as SEC Commissioner Greg Sankey announced the outstanding achievers on Wednesday.

The First-Year SEC Academic Honor Roll acknowledges the academic excellence of student-athletes based on their performance during the 2023-24 academic calendar across all varsity sports. South Carolina’s 130 honorees proved their dedication to both sports and academics, showcasing the university’s commitment to well-rounded development.

With South Carolina claiming the second-highest number of honorees in the conference, the university’s athletes demonstrated a strong work ethic and determination to succeed both on and off the field.
