In Appleton, the Lightning volleyball team showed strong dominance in their match against the Spartans, winning in straight sets with scores of 25-16, 25-10, 25-18. In more volleyball action, the Hawks from Appleton swept the Thunder 25-12, 25-11, 25-8, marking their record at 3-0 in the Bay Conference. Sydney Neilitz was pivotal, assisting 22 plays during the game.
Meanwhile, in cross country results, the Appleton North girls finished strong, scoring 21 points against teams from West De Pere and Bay Port, with top finishers including Sophia Scherwinski who clocked in at 19:37.3.
In the boys’ division of the cross country meet, Sheboygan North took the lead with 46 points. Key runners included Ian Willemsen, finishing at 17:21.2.
In soccer, Hortonville showcased a powerful offense with Roman Glad scoring two goals in their win over the Patriots. Grant Decker recorded a clean sheet for the game, not needing to make a save.
