Mountlake Terrace Hawks Secure Dominating Win Over Everett Seagulls
Mountlake Terrace, WA – On Sunday, October 20, 2024, the Mountlake Terrace Hawks delivered an impressive performance on the field, defeating the Everett Seagulls with a decisive score of 34-0. This victory not only showcased their strong offense but also clinched them the No. 2 seed in the Wesco 3A South Division and a spot in the upcoming round of 32 state playoffs, which kick off in early November.
The Hawks launched a formidable offensive display, racking up a total of 514 yards, with 398 yards accumulated on the ground. Standout players included Owen Boswell, who led the rushing attack with 142 yards and one touchdown, and quarterback Mason Wilson, who contributed with 107 rushing yards and threw for 118 yards and a touchdown.
Other notable performances came from Nate Brown, who scored two touchdowns on the ground, and Evan Sciutti-Trejo, who also found the end zone. Liam Moore made his presence felt defensively with 9 tackles and added four extra points to his team’s score.
With this strong win, the Hawks improve their record to 4-1 in league play and 5-2 overall. They will look to carry this momentum into their next game against Edmonds-Woodway, scheduled for Friday, October 25, at 7 p.m.
Meanwhile, the Meadowdale Mavericks had a stellar outing as well, overwhelming the Lynnwood Royals 48-0. Meadowdale’s defense was exceptional, restricting Lynnwood to only three first downs throughout the game. Brian Mills led the offensive charge, rushing for 190 yards and scoring three touchdowns.
On the sidelines, the Shorewood Stormrays defeated Edmonds-Woodway 31-13, improving their season record to 5-2. Gatsby Palmer was a key player for Shorewood, scoring three rushing touchdowns.
