This week, high school sports in Burlington kicked off with some exciting scores across various teams in soccer, field hockey, volleyball, golf, and cross-country running as the 2024 fall season is underway.
The standout match of the week saw the Vermont soccer team triumph over Harvard with a commanding score of 5-0. Notably, Nash Barlow, a Burlington High School graduate, scored in the dying minutes, as Vermont extended its unbeaten streak to six games and recorded back-to-back 5-0 shutouts for the first time in program history.

The volleyball scene also brought excitement, with Champlain Valley securing a solid victory over Mount Mansfield, winning sets of 25-21, 26-24, and 25-20.
