Sandhills Medical Foundation’s Back-to-School Bash

In a bid to foster community spirit and prepare for the upcoming school year, the Sandhills Medical Foundation is organizing a back-to-school bash this Saturday. Slated to take place from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. at the Foundation’s location on Baldwin Avenue in Lugoff, the event promises a family-friendly atmosphere. It includes games and face painting activities while also distributing free school supplies for the young ones. Parents are reminded that their child’s presence is requisite to avail of the free school supplies.

Putting the Fun in Adopting with Pups and Pints

In collaboration with Columbia Animal Services, Steel Hands Brewing looks forward to welcoming residents to their Pups and Pints adoption event, also scheduled for this Saturday. From 12 p.m. to 3 p.m., the Foreman Street venue in Cayce will turn into a pet lover’s paradise. Apart from offering a great selection of food and beer, numerous adorable pets eagerly await to find their forever homes. Adoption fees are entirely waived for this event, although attendees interested in adopting are advised to carry a collar and leash to the event.

803 Day—Celebrating the Spirit of Columbia

Registration has finally opened for the first-ever “803 Day”. Designed to bolster unity, pride, and a vibrant spirit amongst Columbia residents, the day will be packed with a series of activities, including a 5K run/walk, a city-wide scavenger hunt, and a celebratory festival. This city-wide event presents an opportunity to bustle in the summer heat and make lasting memories. Save the date: Saturday, August 3, 2022.

A Splash of Free Summer Fun with the Richland Recreation Commission

The Richland Recreation Commission is calling out teens for a free-to-attend Splash Party this summer. This social event is a part of a series aimed at fostering connections among teenagers across the country. The upcoming event is scheduled for July 19th from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. at St. Andrews Pool. Youth aged between 12 and 17 are invited to make a big splash.
