Columbia set to Host SC High School Soccer State Championships: How to Watch, What to Know
As usual, the Upstate is well-represented in the South Carolina high school soccer state championships with seven teams featured in the nine games scheduled for this weekend in Columbia.
For the boys, Riverside, Daniel, and St. Joseph’s have chances to repeat as SCHSL state champions. Three-time defending champ Riverside beat No. 1 seed Wade Hampton in the Upper State title game. St. Joseph’s will be in a rematch of last year’s Class A final against region rival Christ Church.
For the girls, Eastside will try to win a second straight title, Christ Church is back after making the final last season, and Powdersville reached the championship game after a trip to the state semifinals a year ago.
