Lexington Chamber Fosters Unity between Community and Businesses at Lexpo

Inventory of Booths Fully Exploited at Upcoming Business Lexpo

Lexington, SC— All booths will be booked to capacity at the upcoming Business Lexpo, thanks to the annual business expo’s sell-out of spaces for companies and businesses to display their services and goods.

“The success of any business gathering lies in the influx of its attendees. In the absence of a crowd, it is pointless for vendors to erect stands,” explained Daphne Freeman, director of business operations at JAN-PRO, a company participating in Lexpo. Echoing a similar sentiment, Freeman highlighted how Lexpo over the past few years has witnessed an increase, not only in terms of vendors but also in terms of visitor turnout.

Role of Lexpo in Promoting Local Businesses

Interesting events such as Lexpo are crucial to both small and large businesses. It serves as a platform for increased brand recognition, a critical factor influencing consumers’ choices on the selection of vendors for their purchases. Lexpo adds a new dimension to a firm’s marketing strategy—the more a person becomes familiar with a brand name, the likely it is they will engage in business with that company.

In the past years, the event, under the leadership of Lexington Chamber President/CEO Angelle LaBorde, has enhanced its appeal, with a selection of nine local restaurants offering food samples under the ‘Flavors of Lexington’ initiative. Some of the restaurants in this line up include O’Hara’s, Willie Jewels’ BBQ, and Keg Cowboy.

New Exhibitors Join the Lexpo Community

In addition to the impressive line-up of vendors and businesses, this year’s event will feature a pickleball complex, a dentistry office, a trash bin cleaning business, and a coffee shop. The goal of the Chamber, according to LaBorde, is to make Lexpo a fun-filled event. Consequently, this year’s event will be celebrated with a Mardi Gras theme, and exhibitors are encouraged to decorate their booths appropriately in order to win awards for ‘Best Booth’ and ‘Best in Show’.

Fittingly, the venue for Lexpo for the past several years has been the Barr Road Sports Complex, which can transform into an impressive trade fair location. Every incoming visitor will receive a complementary tote bag, and they are encouraged to shop local and support local businesses.

Why Attending Lexpo is Important?

Interacting with people at Lexpo is important, as it helps foster relationships and creates awareness about different brands. This sentiment was echoed by Eli Lykes, the owner of Defender Firearms & Training, a participant of Lexpo. “We look forward to the annual Lexpo because it allows us to showcase our local business and services to those in the community that we haven’t met yet. It’s great to show the community our new services and upcoming events as well as network with all of the other local businesses that participate,” Lykes said.

With more than a decade of track record, Lexpo continues to bring together the community and businesses, fostering interactions that are beneficial for all stakeholders. It is poised to play a significant role in the future development of Lexington’s local economy. With a unique blend of exhibition, networking, and celebration, the stage is set for an event that really has something for everyone.
