She was the daughter of Lena and Joseph Mooneyham and the youngest of four sisters, all of whom have preceded her in death: Belle Galloway, Lucille Hicks, and Francis Shealy. Jolene also faced the sorrow of losing an infant daughter, Linda Gayle Haigler, as well as her son-in-law Stanley Lowman, her cousin Horace Brown, and her fiancé Glenn Camp.

Jolene is survived by her only daughter, Debbie Lowman, along with her grandson, Jody Lowman, and granddaughter, Renee Coleman (David). She also cherished her two great-grandsons, William and McKinley Coleman, who reside in Beaufort, SC. A proud graduate of Camden High School, Jolene dedicated 36 years of her career to Bell South before retiring. During her professional journey, she was a member of Pioneers of America, where she formed lasting friendships with her colleagues.

Avidly involved in her community, Jolene found joy in fishing and singing at church, particularly during its jam sessions. Her deep faith in Christianity marked her life, as she served diligently at Living Waters Christian Fellowship in Lexington as a devoted prayer warrior. Jolene’s life is characterized by grace, humility, and a profound love for God and her family.

Memorial Service and Burial

A visitation to honor Jolene’s life is scheduled for July 24, 2025, at 10 a.m. at Barr-Price Funeral Home, Lexington Chapel. This will be followed by a memorial service at 11 a.m. Subsequently, a burial will take place at Wateree Baptist Church Cemetery, located at 2024 Haile Street, Camden, SC 29020.

The family has requested that memorial donations be made in Jolene’s memory to Living Waters Christian Fellowship or Connie Maxwell Children’s Home, reflecting her commitment to helping others and her faith-oriented lifestyle.
