High School Sports Round-Up: Exciting Matchups in Minnesota
This week has been filled with exciting matchups across various sports in Minnesota high schools. Fans witnessed some impressive performances and thrilling finishes that kept everyone on the edge of their seats.
In the Eastern Minnesota Athletic conference, Avail Academy dominated AFSA with a commanding score of 77-43. Similarly, Math & Science took control against LILA, securing a solid victory of 81-46.
Over in the Minneapolis City games, Southwest showed their strength, defeating Roosevelt 93-55. Meanwhile, St. Croix Prep triumphed in a convincing win against Nova Classical with a score of 75-43.
The Metropolitan Area had its fair share of competition as well. Hastings edged out Woodbury with a close score of 65-56. Mounds View kept their winning streak alive by beating New Richmond (Wis.) by 62-54. Not to be outdone, St. Paul Humboldt showcased dominance over Cristo Rey Jesuit, winning 87-32.
In other notable matches, Rushford-Peterson put on a show defeating Bethlehem Academy 94-37, while Wabasso overwhelmed Buffalo Lake-Hector-Stewart with a striking 110-71 victory.
On the ice, Marshall cruised past Redwood Valley 9-2, and Moose Lake managed a solid win against Spooner (Wis.), ending the game 4-1. Meanwhile, Proctor displayed impressive skill in their matchup with Greenway, finishing with a 6-1 result.
