Edmonds-Woodway Warriors Keep Rolling with Win Over Lynnwood
In a thrilling basketball showdown in Edmonds on December 15, 2024, the Edmonds-Woodway Warriors secured a hard-fought victory against the Lynnwood Royals with a final score of 45-36. This win brings the Warriors’ record to an impressive 4-0 for the season and 1-0 in league play, while Lynnwood falls to 0-2 in the league and 1-3 overall.
Edmonds-Woodway started strong, closing the first quarter with a slight lead of 8-5. They continued to build on their momentum, outscoring Lynnwood 11-9 in the second quarter to head into halftime ahead 19-14. The Warriors then exploded for 14 points in the third quarter while holding the Royals to just 9 points, effectively putting the game out of reach. A final quarter score of 12-13 for Edmonds-Woodway sealed the deal.
Junior Finley Wichers was the standout player for the Warriors, recording 15 points and grabbing 7 rebounds.
