The impact sent the cow flying into the eastbound lane of S.C. 20, where it was subsequently hit by a 2023 Toyota sedan, followed by a 2013 Toyota SUV that also collided with the animal.

Casualties and Injuries

Sadly, the driver of the Toyota sedan, identified as Amy Ward, a 52-year-old resident of Abbeville, died at the scene of the accident. The driver of the Toyota SUV sustained injuries and was taken to a nearby hospital. As of now, there is no further information available regarding the condition of the SUV driver. Fortunately, the driver of the pickup truck emerged from the incident without injuries, and no other parties involved reported any harm.
